This former bridge keeper's house can be found near Amsterdam's popular Jordaan district in Amsterdam. Built in the 1950s, the bridge keeper's house was recently converted into a unique place to stay. The interior has a characteristic look and the only neighbours you have during your stay are the swans in the water. A unique stay for a nice weekend in Amsterdam.
The accommodation
During your stay you are provided with all the comforts. There is a spacious double bed for a good night's sleep. In the summer you can use the air conditioning and with the cold days, you can turn on the heating. The bridge house does not have a kitchen, but there is a small refrigerator and cutlery available. You can also use coffee and tea facilities and free wifi, among other things. Towels, slippers, shampoo and soap are included with this cottage. And, of course, you will enjoy a unique view over the water during your stay.
The surroundings
Take a stroll to the touristy Haarlemmerstraat with some of the city's best bars, restaurants and patisseries. The popular Noordermarkt, open on Saturdays and Mondays, is a paradise for organic food lovers and antique lovers. Amsterdam Central Station is directly accessible by bus (11 minutes). From here you can easily reach all other hotspots of the city. Visit the many museums, restaurants and trendy stores.
